500k to help Sandy

500k to HELP SANDY

McDonalds announced they are contributing $500,000 to Hurricane Sandy via the Red Cross.  This news is MAJOR considering how much the East Coast has been struggling.  I actually have a friend of mine who was stuck there and couldnt fly back on time for his mothers birthday.  McDonalds has yet again shown how adapting to situations and supporting by giving back to the people comes a long way.  500k is a lot of money regardless of how small or large a company may be but, its the principle behind it that counts.  Kudos to McDonalds for helping out!

  1. Although it's a very noble cause, helping the victims of a natural disaster, I think that McDonald's offerings are laffable. For a GLOBAL company that brings in more than $500K on any given day, I feel that they could easily afford more to benefit the good will of so many lives that have been turned upside down.
Rhianna & Chelsea Handler each donated $100,000 and they don't make anywhere near what McD's does. If I had the kind of $$$$$$$$ that they do, I would donate a much larger chunk.
    That's my soap box! :)

  2. Nice, but McDonald's also should pay higher taxes to cover the medical expenses of many Americans that consume it's products.
